Chimp Attack Survivor: How I Escaped with My Life

Chimpanzees are known as some of the most engaging animals in nature. But when they get angry, they can be incredibly dangerous. When chimpanzees attack, they go after the face, hands, and genitals of their victims – leading to horrifying consequences. In this article, I’m going to share my experience surviving a chimpanzee attack and provide key tips on how you can stay safe if you ever find yourself in a similar situation.

The attack happened while I was visiting a zoo in Australia. Out of nowhere, a chimpanzee leapt out of its cage and headed straight for me. I’d heard about how strong and fast these animals were and knew that I had to act quickly if I wanted to survive. Goaded by adrenaline, I was able to act fast enough to get away from the chimp and make it to safety.

It was a close call and something I will never forget. So to help you prepare for a similar experience, here are three key survival strategies you should use if you ever find yourself in the path of a raging chimpanzee:

1. Don’t panic and remain calm. The last thing you want to do is feed into the chimpanzee’s aggression with your own fear and panic. Stay focused on your escape plan and take it one step at a time.

2. Utilize your legs. If you’re lucky enough to have time to react, use your legs to get away from the chimp. Climb over or through obstacles if you have to – these can be your best line of defence against an angry animal.

3. Be aware of the chimpanzee’s environment. Before running away, take a few seconds to scan the area for possible escape routes or any objects you can use to protect yourself. Chimpanzees may be strong, but they can also easily be scared off by a loud noise or foreign object.

These three tips helped me survive my terrifying encounter with a chimpanzee and I hope they can help you too if you ever need them. Always remember that chimps are wild animals and need to be respected as such. If you ever find yourself in their presence, play it safe and don’t take any chances.
